Envoy Hotel
Located at Boston’s Seaport District, the Envoy Hotel guest rooms showcase unique features implemented with GGI’s Alice® direct-to-glass printing technology. Historic maps and white bands were printed in customized levels of opacity on ½” low-iron glass sliding glass bathroom doors and shower enclosures. The design aesthetic is stunningly specific to the area and with the proper balance of privacy and light.
The Alice® direct-to-glass printing process allows the opacity to be customized as desired by the client. For the sliding glass panels that enclose the bath area in each of the hotel rooms, the transparency level gives ample privacy while also adding brightness to the color and detail of the map.
A translucent white band was added to each glass panel with Alice® to create privacy for the toilet and shower enclosures.
