Boutique Boston Hotel Celebrates City History, in Glass
Envoy Hotel Features Full Glass Shower Enclosures and Bathroom Walls Featuring Printed Art Maps of Boston
Secaucus, NJ, October 5, 2015: Guests at the recently-opened Envoy Hotel in Boston will be able to enjoy a unique and interesting design statement thanks to GGI’s advanced digital printing technology, known as Alice®. “The architect, ADD Inc. / Group One Partners, Inc., wanted variations of natural lighting and privacy without losing functionality or visibility on the bathroom doors,” according to Stephen Balik, Director of Architectural Sales. “Through custom color matching on the printed maps and careful control of opacity, along with privacy banding printed digitally on the shower doors, we wereable to achieve the vision of multiple levels of privacy and light transmittance.”
“GGI is dedicated to making the built environment more beautiful and unique, and this project was a perfect opportunity to achieve that goal,” says Richard Balik, Executive Vice President. “Several rounds of sampling were required to get the exact colors and opacities correct. Furthermore, the layout of each bathroom is different so we treated each of the 136 bathrooms as individual projects to keep track of sizes and ensure a smooth installation.”
The Envoy Hotel, part of the Autograph Collection by Marriott, is located at 70 Sleeper Street, Boston MA. To see more of what GGI has to offer, visit our booth #1162 at NeoCon East in Philadelphia, PA on October 28-29 and the ABX Show booth #435 in Boston, MA on November 17-19.
