BACK-PAINTED GLASS

Back-painted glass is produced using a low-iron or other glass substrate with a low VOC water-based silicone paint applied to one side. Ideal for adding interest to any interior design project, this opaque glass product is a durable, hygienic, and easy to maintain solid surface solution.



Features

Designers can choose from a variety of glass substrates and virtually any Pantone® color imaginable to create unique opaque designs for a variety of applications. Alice® direct-to-glass ready to print designs can be incorporated, custom artwork, photography and logos—then back-painted.

Back-painting is on the #2 surface of the glass and can be applied to low-iron, clear, satin etched (single sided), and most patterned or textured glass substrates.

Back-painted glass is designed for interior applications and only where glass is viewed from the face (non-painted) side, such as wall cladding, backsplashes, cabinetry, shower walls, table tops, signage, and glass marker boards. See Max™ Glassboards

GGI’s annealed and tempered back-painted glass is produced utilizing environmentally friendly, low “Volatile Organic Compounds” (VOC) and water-based paints, and low temperature curing process. This product supports sustainable building design and may contribute to obtaining LEED credits.
