390 Madison Avenue

390 Madison Avenue

390 Madison Avenue involved the re-massing of the building originally constructed in 1955. L & L Holding Company and Tishman Construction worked with design architect Kohn Pederson Fox Associates (KPF) resulting in a multi-year project that transformed the 24 stories into a “future-proof” office building that topped off at 32-stories and 373-feet tall.

At street level, the exterior of the building showcases a 23-foot-high main lobby and a dramatic 26-foot-tall, chamfered corner retail space facing Madison Avenue highlighted with a spectacular back-lit wood-grain glass soffit created by GGI using Alice® direct-to-glass printing on low-iron glass, laminated with SentryGlas® ionoplast interlayer for structural integrity and exposure to weather
Features Walters, a division of the Walters Group, worked directly with KPF to create a custom engineered system to bring the design team’s concept—and one of the most prominent design features to fruition.
