Amistad High

A college-preparatory public charter school in New Haven, Connecticut, Achievement First Amistad High uses Alice direct-to-glass printing to display images giving recognition to various civil rights leaders. The building replaces the former Martin Luther King Elementary School, which displayed similar artwork that was painted directly on the facade. The artwork shares a powerful message of what can be achieved.

Wanting to preserve the images and continue to honor these inspiring individuals, Alice® direct-to-glass printing was chosen to print the images directly on glass, allowing for a permanent finish that is protected from the elements.
Achievement First Amistad High is recognized as a national model of education reform, proving what is truly possible when urban students receive a world-class education. The number one goal of the college-preparatory school is that 100% of its students will be accepted into four-year colleges and universities.
