Fifteen Park Row Playroom

The landmark 15 Park Row Building, located across from City Hall, was at one time the world’s tallest skyscraper finishing out in 1899 at 391 feet tall. Originally designed by Robert, Henderson Robertson, this notable building has seen its share of renovations. Most recently, Fogarty Finger Architects took on the conversion of the seven remaining commercial floors to new rental residences, along with renovating the lobby, ground floor retail area and playroom while also adding new amenities.

GGI was pleased to furnish the fire-rated glass, doors and framing system designed to meet the 60-minute fire-rating required for this occupancy separation wall. The framing system combined with the Pyrobel intumescent glass provides the maximum level of fire-protection, delaying the spread of smoke and flames—and, radiant heat. In addition, this fire-resistive glazing system meets UL263 and ASTM E119 allowing for larger spans of glass to be used, giving full vision in and out of the children’s play area.
