Palo Alto Medical Foundation

The Palo Alto Medical Foundation Sunnyvale was designed to replace an existing medical facility built 55-years prior. The new 250,000 SF structure is a world-class cancer treatment center that is completely modernized. Inspired by a William and Morris wallpaper design, a custom leaf design is digitally printed on the glass transforming the structural façade into a functional work of art. GGI’s Alice^® direct-to-glass printing process allows the pattern to fade as it moves upwards, fulfilling the architect’s vision of creating an interior garden by animating the interior space with a shadow play of light.
