Sugar House Condo Renovation
Steeped in history, the Sugar House was commissioned in 1863 as a sugar warehouse during the Civil War. Situated on the Hudson River and with a spectacular view, the designer was tasked to transform a dark and somewhat closed-in space into one thriving with natural light and enhanced function. In answer to this challenge, the project undertook a biophilic approach to the interior design, incorporating a variety of glass types that support daylighting, color, texture, hygienic and easy to clean solid surfaces—combined with great aesthetics.
Kitchen back-splash is a custom soft blue back-painted finish on 1/4” [6mm] ultra-clear low-iron tempered glass for easy to clean solid surface.
A luxurious guest bath with custom frameless shower enclosure with Reeded low-iron textured patterned glass for an ultra-clear modern design and privacy.
Den Workspace: Max® Glassboard in custom blue back-painted color to complement artwork and to create the feel of a window view.
