St. Thomas Gateway
University of Scranton

St. Thomas Gateway
University of Scranton

It was the founder of the University of Scranton, Bishop O’Hara, who in 1888 shared his hope that the university would “Light up this valley with fires of learning.” Now more than ever, the St. Thomas Gateway—with its newly renovated façade will do just that.

GGI was pleased to furnish the insulating glass units with custom designed artwork for the University of Scranton’s St. Thomas Gateway. The glass curtain wall incorporates the University seal that was created using 36 individual insulating glass panels—24 with a portion of the overall design—like putting pieces of a puzzle together to create the finished display. It spans the center of the four-story hall and it is backlit to create quite a showcase in the evening for those using the key entry way to the campus.
